    SEE ALSO...

BCAS3 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BCAS3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BCAS3 (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BCAS3, also known as breast carcinoma amplified sequence 3, is a 913 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in breast cancer progression, making BCAS3 a critical target for cancer research. BCAS3 is regulated by estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and is expressed in various tissues, particularly in malignant human brain lesions, where BCAS3 is often overexpressed and amplified in breast cancer cell lines. Structurally, BCAS3 features three WD40 repeat regions, a bromodomain, a rare zinc-finger motif, four probable DNA-binding domains, and two kinase-inducible phosphorylation domains, which are essential for BCAS3 function in cellular signaling and gene regulation. BCAS3 interacts with histone H3 and the histone acetyltransferase PCAF, indicating BCAS3 involvement in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation. BCAS3 exhibits ERα transactivation activity by functioning as a coactivator with proteins such as PELP1 or MTA1, further underscoring BCAS3 importance in breast cancer biology. Amplification and translocation of BCAS3 gene with BCAS4 gene lead to the formation of a fusion transcript that is overexpressed in MCF-7 cells, highlighting BCAS3 potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in breast cancer.
