    SEE ALSO...

BBX Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BBX protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BBX (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BBX protein, also known as HMG box transcription factor BBX or Bobby sox homolog, is a 941 amino acid nuclear protein encoded by the human gene BBX. BBX contains a high mobility group (HMG) domain, which is characteristic of the Sox family of transcription factors. The structural integrity of the HMG domain facilitates BBX binding to DNA, thereby regulating gene expression essential for cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase. BBX function is particularly important in cellular growth and differentiation, and BBX dysregulation has been implicated in various human disorders, including certain cancers and autoimmune diseases. BBX has been associated with the recruitment of inflammatory cells to sites of infection, highlighting BBX role in immune response. The presence of antibodies against HMG proteins, including BBX, is often observed in patients with autoimmune conditions, further underscoring BBX significance in both health and disease.
