SEE ALSO...

BAT1/DDX39 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BAT1/DDX39 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BAT1/DDX39 (H-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAT1 protein, also known as spliceosome RNA helicase BAT1, DEAD-box protein UAP56, or ATP-dependent RNA helicase p47, plays a crucial role in mRNA splicing and nuclear export, functioning as a splicing factor that mediates the initial ATP-dependent step of spliceosome assembly. BAT1 interacts with mRNA export factor ALY and associates with transcription elongation factor THO proteins to form TREX complex, which is essential for efficient export of mRNA from the nucleus. BAT1 is involved in formation of exon junction complex, highlighting its importance in post-transcriptional regulation. DDX39 protein, closely related to BAT1, is localized in the nucleus and is expressed in various tissues, including lung, brain, kidney, spleen, thymus, and salivary gland. DDX39 is implicated in pre-mRNA splicing and mRNA export, with expression being upregulated in lung squamous cell carcinoma, suggesting a potential role in tumorigenesis. BAT1/DDX39 (H-6) monoclonal antibody′s availability in multiple formats makes this reagent a versatile tool for researchers studying intricate processes of RNA metabolism and implications in health and disease.

Hello, could you provide me an exact sequence of immunogen? Does this antibody recognise both paralogs DDX39A and DDX39B?

Asked by: Ktutak
Thank you for your question. This antibody, sc-271395, was raised against amino acids 231-428 mapping at the C-terminus of BAT1 of human origin (accession#Q13838). The exact epitope has not been mapped. It detects both DDX39A and DDX39B.

Are there any issues with using sc-271395: BAT1/DDX39 (H-6) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271395 conjugates.
