BAIAP2L1 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BAIAP2L1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BAIAP2L1 antibody (F-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAIAP2L1, also known as Brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor 1-associated protein 2-like 1 or IRTKS (insulin receptor tyrosine kinase substrate), is a 511 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in liver, testis, bladder, lung, and heart. BAIAP2L1 plays a crucial role in cellular dynamics, particularly in actin cytoskeleton organization, containing an IMD (IRSp53/MTSS1 homology) domain, an SH3 domain, and a C-terminal region similar to a WH2 domain. BAIAP2L1 is involved in forming short actin clusters at cell periphery, contrasting with filopodia-like protrusions induced by IRSp53. BAIAP2L1 binds Rac through N-terminal IMD domain and serves as a substrate for insulin receptor, leading to tyrosine phosphorylation upon insulin stimulation, highlighting BAIAP2L1′s significance in cellular signaling pathways and actin dynamics.
