SEE ALSO...

BAF155 Antibody (DXD7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BAF155 protein of human origin and, to a lesser extent, from mouse and rat sources by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. BAF155 (DXD7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAF155, also known as SRG3, plays a crucial role in the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex, which is essential for regulating gene expression through nucleosome structure remodeling in an ATP-dependent manner. BAF155 functions as part of a core that includes Brm, Brg-1, and Ini1, which together facilitate remodeling activity. BAF155 interaction with these ATPase subunits enhances the remodeling process, influencing transcriptional activation. BAF155 involvement in various cellular processes, including differentiation and development, makes this protein a significant target for studies related to gene regulation and chromatin dynamics. Research on BAF155 and its interactions within the SWI/SNF complex can provide insights into chromatin remodeling mechanisms and their implications in various diseases, including cancer.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-32763 X be used instead of the standard form sc-32763?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't work well on Western blotVery weak signal on Western blot. Not sure if dilution used was not high enough. Started at 1:500 and got faint bands for a signal. Had to reincubate overnight, which is not a great workflow.
