    SEE ALSO...

β3Gn-TL1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects β3Gn-TL1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). β3Gn-TL1 (A-9) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. β3Gn-TL1, also known as UDP-GlcNAc:betaGal beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase-like protein 1, consists of 361 amino acids and belongs to the glycosyltransferase 2 family, playing a crucial role in glycosyl group transfer. This transferase activity supports cell signaling, protein folding, and cellular structure maintenance. β3Gn-TL1 shows highest expression in adult pancreas, with moderate levels in kidney, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, and ovary, and lower expression in small intestine, colon, peripheral blood leukocytes, and liver. β3Gn-TL1 gene conservation spans multiple species, including chimpanzees, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, and Caenorhabditis elegans, with location on human chromosome 17q25.3, which makes up over 2.5% of the human genome and contains more than 1,200 genes. Chromosome 17′s association with genetic disorders like Alexander disease, Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome, and Canavan disease underscores the importance of understanding β3Gn-TL1′s functions and interactions in health and disease.
