SEE ALSO...

ATF-4 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody, specifically developed to recognize Activating Transcription Factor 4 (ATF-4), also known as CREB-2, across mouse, rat, and human species. ATF-4 monoclonal antibody (B-3) is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications, making ATF-4 (B-3) antibody a versatile tool for various research settings. ATF-4 is a critical transcription factor involved in regulating gene expression in response to cellular stress, including the unfolded protein response, amino acid deprivation, and oxidative stress. By binding to specific DNA sequences, ATF-4 modulates the expression of genes that control essential cellular processes such as metabolism, differentiation, and apoptosis. The functionality of ATF-4 is pivotal for maintaining cellular homeostasis and enabling cells to adapt to adverse conditions, thereby playing a significant role in development, immune response, and disease progression. Structurally, ATF-4 contains a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain that facilitates dimerization and DNA binding, essential for its role in transcriptional regulation. Additionally, ATF-4 interacts with other members of the ATF/CREB family, forming homo- or heterodimers that enhance its regulatory capabilities. Dysregulation of ATF-4 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders, highlighting its importance as a target for therapeutic intervention. ATF-4 (B-3) monoclonal antibody supports advanced research into the molecular mechanisms governing cellular stress responses and their implications in health and disease.

Are there any issues with non-specific staining when using this antibody on mouse tissue in IF or IHC?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. This antibody is recommended for use with mouse samples for IF and IHC. To prevent any potential non-specific staining from an anti-mouse secondary, we recommend using a directly conjugated primary. This antibody is available conjugated to HRP, PE, FITC, AF488 and AF647

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Anti-ATF4 per analisi in western blotL'Ab è stato testato utilizzando un lisato cellulare di MDA-MB-231 ottenuto in RIPA buffer.
