TRIM29 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRIM29 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TRIM29 antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRIM29, also known as ATDC, plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in ataxia-telangiectasia, a genetic disorder that significantly increases cancer risk and leads to immune deficiencies. TRIM29 is located in the cytoplasm and has been implicated in the regulation of cellular stress responses and apoptosis, making TRIM29 vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis. TRIM29′s interaction with vimentin, an intermediate filament protein, suggests influence on cytoskeletal dynamics and cellular architecture, which are essential for proper cell function and response to stress. Additionally, the presence of zinc finger and leucine zipper motifs in TRIM29 indicates potential to form homodimers and interact with DNA, further underscoring TRIM29′s importance in gene regulation and cellular signaling pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376125 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
