SEE ALSO...

ASCT1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASCT1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ASCT1 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASCT1, a member of the alanine/serine/cysteine/threonine transporter family, plays a crucial role in the transport of neutral amino acids across cell membranes, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and supporting metabolic processes. ASCT1 is predominantly located in the plasma membrane of cells, where ASCT1 facilitates the uptake of essential amino acids like threonine, alanine, serine, and cysteine, thereby influencing protein synthesis and energy metabolism. ASCT1 is expressed in various tissues, with the highest levels found in muscle, brain, and pancreas, highlighting ASCT1′s importance in both neural and metabolic functions. The sodium-dependent nature of ASCT1 and ASCT1′s interaction with other transporters, such as ASCT2, further underscores ASCT1′s significance in amino acid transport and cellular nutrient uptake, making anti-ASCT1 antibody (C-8) an essential tool for researchers studying amino acid transport mechanisms and related physiological processes.
