ASC Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC), also known as TMS1 or PYCARD. Anti-ASC antibody (B-3) targets an epitope located between amino acids 174-195 at the C-terminus of human ASC and is effective in detecting ASC proteins from mouse, rat, and human sources using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASC is a pivotal member of the CARD-containing adaptor protein family, playing a crucial role in apoptotic and inflammatory signaling pathways by facilitating interactions between adaptor proteins such as Apaf-1 and pro-caspases like CASP9.
