SEE ALSO...

ASB-6 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ASB-6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASB-6 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASB-6, or ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing 6, is a 421 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, functioning as a substrate-recognition component of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. ASB-6 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm, where ASB-6 collaborates with other proteins to facilitate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins, thereby regulating various cellular processes, including signal transduction and protein turnover. The presence of the SOCS box domain in ASB-6 is particularly important as this domain allows for interaction with the Elongin B/C complex, which is essential for the ubiquitination process. Understanding ASB-6 function and significance helps researchers gain insights into ASB-6′s role in cellular homeostasis and potential implications in diseases where protein degradation pathways are disrupted.
