Datasheets
  • ART2 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 41-130 mapping near the N-terminus of ART2 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of ART2 of and mouse origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for ART2 Antibody (A-2) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with ART2 Antibody (A-2) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

ART2 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ART2 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ART2 (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ART2 plays a crucial role in the process of mono-ADP-ribosylation, a significant post-translational modification that regulates cellular metabolism, particularly in prokaryotes. This modification involves the transfer of the ADP-ribose moiety from nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide to specific amino acids on target proteins, influencing various cellular functions. ART2 is one of five mammalian ADP-ribosyltransferases, with expression primarily in tissues such as cardiac and skeletal muscle, leukocytes, brain, and testis. ART2 functions on the cell surface of mouse T lymphocytes as a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored ectoenzyme, suggesting involvement in modulating immune responses and cell signaling pathways. Understanding ART2 function and role in post-translational modifications is essential for elucidating impact on cell-matrix and cell-cell interactions, particularly in immune cell activation and tissue response.
