ARMER Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARMER protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARMER (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARMER protein, also known as ADP-ribosylation-like factor 6-interacting protein 1 (ARL6IP1 or AIP1), is a multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis and is part of the Ras superfamily. ARMER protein is predominantly expressed in the brain, thymus, lung, and bone marrow, with lower expression levels in the spleen, kidney, and liver, while being absent in the heart. ARMER protein is localized to the intracytoplasmic membranes of early myeloid progenitor cells, where ARMER protein interacts with ARL6 and inhibits caspase-9 activity by preventing the proteolysis of downstream substrates such as LEHD-AFC, vimentin, and caspase-3. This inhibition suggests a role for ARMER protein in regulating cell survival and apoptosis during hematopoietic differentiation. ARMER protein may be involved in membrane trafficking and protein transport, highlighting ARMER protein′s significance in cellular signaling pathways during blood cell maturation.
