ARHGAP29 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARHGAP29 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARHGAP29 (H-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARHGAP29, also known as Rho GTPase activating protein 29 or PARG1, is a 1,261 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by regulating Rho-type GTPases. ARHGAP29 contains a phorbol-ester/DAG-type zinc finger and a Rho-GAP domain, which are essential for function as a GTPase-activating protein. ARHGAP29 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart, with intermediate levels in placenta, liver, and pancreas, and lower levels in brain, lung, and kidney. By converting Rho-type GTPases to their inactive GDP-bound state, ARHGAP29 effectively down-regulates active forms, particularly showing strong activity towards Rho A and weaker activity towards Rac 1 and Cdc42. ARHGAP29 is recognized as a specific effector of Rap 2A, further highlighting importance in regulating Rho signaling pathways. ARHGAP29 is down-regulated in mantle-cell lymphomas and up-regulated in migrating glioma cells, indicating potential role in cancer biology. ARHGAP29 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in different cellular contexts.

Can ARHGAP29 (H-2): sc-377022 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, ARHGAP29 (H-2): sc-377022 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
