ARHGAP1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARHGAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ARHGAP1 antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARHGAP1, also known as Rho GTPase activating protein 1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by regulating Rho family GTPases activity, which are essential for various cellular processes such as cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration, and proliferation. Specifically, ARHGAP1 accelerates intrinsic GTP hydrolysis of these GTPases, leading to their inactivation and thus modulating pathways vital for maintaining normal cellular functions. ARHGAP1 consists of 439 amino acids and is characterized by one Rho-GAP domain and one CRAL-TRIO domain, which are important for GTPase-activating activity. ARHGAP1 is predominantly localized in cytoplasm and is expressed in various tissues, indicating a fundamental role in cellular homeostasis. ARHGAP1 interacts with several other proteins, including eIF4AI and Exportin 7, further highlighting involvement in complex cellular networks. ARHGAP1 gene is located on human chromosome 11, a region associated with several genetic disorders, underscoring importance in both health and disease.
