ARH3 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ARH3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARH3 Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARH3, also known as ADP-ribosylhydrolase 3 or ADPRHL2, consists of 363 amino acids and is primarily localized in the mitochondria, cytoplasm, and nucleus, which is crucial for its role in cellular metabolism and signaling. As a member of the ADP-ribosylglycohydrolase family, ARH3 utilizes magnesium as a cofactor to catalyze the hydrolysis of poly(ADP-ribose), a modification that occurs in response to DNA damage. This enzymatic activity is vital for the regulation of cellular processes, particularly in maintaining neuronal cell function and promoting DNA repair mechanisms. The gene encoding ARH3 is located on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, with significant associations to familial adenomatous polyposis, Parkinson′s disease, and several cancers. Understanding ARH3′s function helps researchers explore potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer biology.
