SEE ALSO...

Arginase 1 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect human Arginase 1 through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Arginase 1 antibody (C-2) targets a unique epitope mapped between amino acids 46-65 near the N-terminus of human Arginase 1, ensuring precise binding and reliable detection. Arginase 1, also called ARG1, AI, Arg-1, and PGIF, is a crucial enzyme predominantly localized in the cytoplasm of liver cells, where Arginase 1 plays a pivotal role in the urea cycle by catalyzing the hydrolysis of arginine to ornithine and urea, thereby facilitating the removal of excess nitrogen from the body. Arginase 1 exists as a homotrimeric protein containing a binuclear manganese cluster essential for catalytic activity. Arginase 1′s cellular localization in the cytoplasm ensures efficient participation in metabolic pathways that regulate amino acid metabolism and detoxify ammonia, which is vital for maintaining nitrogen balance and overall metabolic homeostasis. Understanding Arginase 1 distribution and function is important in various physiological and pathological contexts, including liver function, wound healing, immune response modulation, and cancer progression. Arginase 1′s specific localization and function make Arginase 1 a critical target for research into metabolic diseases and potential therapeutic interventions. Anti-Arginase 1 antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatile options for researchers to study Arginase 1 in diverse experimental settings. Arginase 1 monoclonal antibody (C-2)′s high specificity and broad reactivity make this tool indispensable for scientists investigating the intricate mechanisms of arginine metabolism, enzyme regulation, and the role of Arginase 1 in health and disease.
