    SEE ALSO...

ARFGAP2 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ARFGAP2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARFGAP2 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) protein family, to which ARFGAP2 belongs, plays a crucial role in vesicle trafficking and signal transduction within eukaryotic cells, making ARFGAP2 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Specifically, ARFGAP2 functions as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ARF family proteins, facilitating the hydrolysis of GTP to GDP, which is vital for the regulation of ARF activity and, consequently, vesicle formation and transport. This regulatory mechanism is particularly important as ARFGAP2 influences the coordination of spectrin interactions with Golgi membranes and the recruitment of actin to the Golgi apparatus, thereby impacting the integrity and functionality of cellular organelles. Localized to the cytoplasmic side of the Golgi apparatus, ARFGAP2 contains one ARF-GAP domain and is associated with COP-I-coated vesicles, underscoring ARFGAP2′s significance in intracellular trafficking processes.

Hi, I would like to ask: Which catalog # of ARFGAP2 antibody can be used for WB, IF, and IP? Does it works for mouse ARFGAP2 as well? Are there publications support this?

    Asked by: Weiq
Thank you for your question. We currently offer 4 different ARFGAP2 antibodies that are recommended and warrantied for WB, IF and IP in mouse, rat and human samples. I would recommend this antibody, ARFGAP2 Antibody (F-11): sc-377049, which has been tested in mouse samples for Western blot including RAW 264.7 whole cell lysate and mouse brain tissue extract, and also tested for IF in NIH/3T3 cells. We have not yet tested any of our ARFGAP2 antibodies for IP (immunoprecipitation), however we do warranty the antibodies for that application based on their reactivity in the other tested applications. There are currently no product citations that we are aware of using any of our new ARFGAP2 mouse monoclonal antibodies, please check back for updates!

Can ARFGAP2 (F-11): sc-377049 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, ARFGAP2 (F-11): sc-377049 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
