SEE ALSO...

ARD1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ARD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ARD1 antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARD1, a member of the acetyltransferase family, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by regulating the stability of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), a key transcription factor involved in the cellular response to low oxygen levels. ARD1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and interacts with the ribosome, NARG1, and HIF-1α, where ARD1 functions as a protein acetyltransferase. ARD1′s ability to acetylate HIF-1α influences HIF-1α degradation under normoxic conditions, thereby modulating the cellular response to hypoxia. ARD1 is cleaved by caspases during apoptosis, highlighting ARD1′s involvement in programmed cell death. ARD1 expression is downregulated in many cell lines in response to hypoxia and is expressed throughout the developing brain, underscoring ARD1′s significance in both developmental and stress-related pathways.
