SEE ALSO...

Annexin VII Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Annexin VII protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Annexin VII antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Annexin VII, also known as synexin, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by binding to phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner, which is essential for membrane trafficking and cellular signaling. Annexin VII is primarily located at the plasma membrane in normal muscle tissue, where Annexin VII is involved in the regulation of ion flux and cellular adhesion. In Duchenne′s muscular dystrophy, Annexin VII is released into the cytoplasm and subsequently into the extracellular space, indicating Annexin VII′s potential role in disease progression and muscle degeneration. The annexin family, which includes at least ten mammalian genes, is characterized by a conserved core domain and unique amino terminal regions that may confer binding specificity, highlighting the importance of post-translational modifications for proper sub-cellular localization and function. Annexin VII′s ability to interact with other proteins and involvement in critical cellular processes make Annexin VII a valuable target for research in muscle pathology and related fields.
