SEE ALSO...

Ankyrin G Antibody (463) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ankyrin G protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Ankyrin G antibody (463) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ankyrin G protein plays a crucial role in maintaining neuronal cell integrity by anchoring sodium channels at the nodes of Ranvier and axon initial segments, essential for proper action potential propagation in neurons. This localization ensures efficient and rapid electrical signal transmission, fundamental for normal nervous system function. Ankyrin G protein is involved in cytoskeleton organization and cell shape maintenance, further highlighting its importance in cellular architecture. Ankyrin G protein exhibits tissue-specific alternative mRNA processing, resulting in two major isoforms in nervous tissue, while smaller isoforms are found in various other tissues, including lung, kidney, spleen, liver, and heart. This expression diversity demonstrates Ankyrin G protein′s multifunctional nature and significance in both neuronal and non-neuronal contexts.

Can this mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Anna99
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This monoclonal for Ankyrin G available conjugated to agarose (sc-12719 AC), 500 µg/0.25 ml agarose in 1 ml, for IP; HRP (sc-12719 HRP), 200 µg/ml, for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; phycoerythrin (sc-12719 PE), fluorescein (sc-12719 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-12719 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-12719 AF647), 200 µg/ml, for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
