    SEE ALSO...

ANKRD7 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ANKRD7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ANKRD7 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ANKRD7 protein, also known as testis-specific protein TSA806, is a 254 amino acid protein characterized by five ankyrin repeats, which are crucial for its role as a membrane adaptor molecule. These ankyrin repeats facilitate coupling of integral membrane proteins to the spectrin-based cytoskeleton network, a process vital for maintaining cell shape and stability. Expression of ANKRD7 is predominantly localized in the testis, where ANKRD7 exists in two isoforms generated through alternative splicing, highlighting specific functional roles in reproductive biology. The gene encoding ANKRD7 is located on human chromosome 7, a chromosome associated with various genetic disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta and Pendred syndrome, underscoring the importance of ANKRD7 in both normal physiology and disease states.
