Angptl5 Antibody (7-RE8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Angptl5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Angptl5 antibody (7-RE8) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Angptl5, or angiopoietin-like 5, is a 388 amino acid secreted protein that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis, making Angptl5 significant in metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes. Angptl5 is primarily expressed in adult heart tissue, where Angptl5 is involved in regulating the balance of triglycerides and fatty acids, thus influencing cardiovascular health. The gene encoding Angptl5 is located on human chromosome 11, a region known for dense gene and disease associations, which includes genes linked to various disorders such as ataxia-telangiectasia and sickle cell anemia. Angptl5′s ability to modulate lipid levels highlights Angptl5′s potential as a therapeutic target for conditions related to dyslipidemia and cardiovascular diseases, making anti-Angptl5 antibody (7-RE8) an essential tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.
