Angptl1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Angptl1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Angptl1 antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Angptl1, also known as angiopoietin-like 1, angioarrestin, ARP1, ANGPT3, or previously angiopoietin 3 (ANG3), is a member of the angiopoietin-like family and is predominantly expressed in adult tissues such as the adrenal gland, thyroid, placenta, and small intestine. Angptl1 exists as a disulfide-linked dimer and shares significant sequence identity with other angiopoietins, including 45.1% with Ang-1 and 59% with Angptl2. Angptl1 features a coiled-coil domain at its N-terminus, potential glycosylation sites, and a fibrinogen-like domain at its C-terminus, which are crucial for structural integrity and function. Angptl1 is secreted but does not act as a growth factor for endothelial cells; instead, Angptl1 plays a vital role in angiogenesis regulation by inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation, migration, tube formation, and adhesion. This inhibitory activity occurs through interaction with specific receptors on endothelial cells. Down-regulation of Angptl1 expression in various tumor tissues highlights significant antiangiogenic properties, suggesting a critical role in tumor progression and vascularization.
