ANG I Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ANG I protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ANG I (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Angiogenin (ANG or ANG I) is a crucial non-glycosylated polypeptide composed of 123 amino acids, playing a significant role in angiogenesis, the process of forming new blood vessels from existing ones. ANG I exhibits a high degree of homology with other ribonucleases, such as pancreatic ribonuclease A, and ANG I′s ability to promote blood vessel growth is closely linked to ribonucleolytic activity. ANG I is implicated in the progression of solid tumors, with ANG I antagonists demonstrating potential to inhibit tumor growth. The mechanism by which ANG I is internalized by subconfluent endothelial cells and subsequently translocated to the nucleus, where ANG I accumulates in the nucleolus, remains poorly understood, and the specific receptor for ANG I has yet to be identified.
