Amphiregulin Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects Amphiregulin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Amphiregulin is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family and plays a crucial role in normal human keratinocyte proliferation, acting as an autocrine growth factor produced and secreted by keratinocytes. Amphiregulin binds to the ErbB-1 receptor, which is vital for epithelial development in various tissues, including the skin, lung, and gastrointestinal tract. Notably, Amphiregulin′s involvement in cellular processes extends to its influence on telomerase activity; withdrawal of Amphiregulin has been shown to downregulate telomerase in human keratinocytes, indicating its significant role in regulating cell senescence. Anti-Amphiregulin antibody (C-1) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying epithelial development and the mechanisms of keratinocyte growth and differentiation, providing insights into the complex signaling pathways that govern these processes.
