    SEE ALSO...

ALS2CL Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects ALS2CL of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ALS2CL (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ALS2CL plays a crucial role in modulating the activity of Rab5, a key regulator of the endocytic pathway, which is essential for cellular uptake of nutrients and signaling molecules. By influencing Rab5 activity, ALS2CL is involved in the dynamics of membrane trafficking and endocytosis, processes that are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental changes. Mutations in the ALS2 gene, which encodes the Alsin protein, are linked to several juvenile recessive motor neuron diseases, including juvenile primary lateral sclerosis and infantile onset ascending hereditary spastic paralysis. ALS2CL, by modulating Rab5, may also have implications in the pathophysiology of these diseases, highlighting its importance in both normal cellular function and disease mechanisms.

I have tried this antibody three times. I can't get bands at 108kD but there are clear bands around 75kD. What do you think the problem would be and how to improve? Dilution 1:1000. Incubate overnight at 4℃. Thanks.

What blocking solution should I use with ALS2CL (E-8): sc-377278 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
