    SEE ALSO...

αB-crystallin Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects αB-crystallin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). αB-crystallin monoclonal antibody (C-8) recognizes a member of the small heat shock protein family that plays a crucial role in cellular stress response by acting as a molecular chaperone, preventing the aggregation of denatured proteins and maintaining cellular protein homeostasis. This function is particularly important in tissues subject to high levels of stress, such as the lens of the eye, heart, and skeletal muscle, where αB-crystallin is abundantly expressed. Notably, elevated levels of αB-crystallin have been linked to various neurological diseases, highlighting αB-crystallin′s potential as a biomarker for disease progression. Additionally, mutations in the αB-crystallin gene have been associated with Desmin-related myopathy, underscoring αB-crystallin′s significance in muscle integrity and function. Anti-αB-crystallin antibody (C-8) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating αB-crystallin′s role in health and disease, providing reliable detection and characterization in various experimental settings.

Are there any issues with using sc-137144: αB-crystallin (C-8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-137144 conjugates.
