α2B-AR Antibody (G-9) is a high quality monoclonal alpha 2B-AR antibody (also designated α2B-AR antibody) suitable for the detection of the alpha 2B-AR protein of mouse, rat and human origin. α2B-AR Antibody (G-9) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-alpha 2B-AR antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-alpha 2B-AR antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. α2-adrenergic receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. They include three highly homologous subtypes: α2A, α2B, and α2C. These receptors have a critical role in regulating neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. αB-adrenergic receptors (a2B-AR) couple to Gi-protein and induce salt-dependent hypertension in response to catecho-lamines. The carboxy-terminal cytoplasmic domain of a2B-AR can associate with proteins, including the guanine nucleotide exchange factor eIF-2B. α2B-AR transcripts are abundant in rat liver and kidney.

What blocking solution should I use with α2B-AR (G-9): sc-390430 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?
Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here:
