α Tubulin Antibody (YOL1/34) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that recognizes α Tubulin, a key structural protein of the cytoskeleton, in mouse, rat, human, and yeast. α Tubulin monoclonal antibody (YOL1/34) is raised against full-length purified α Tubulin derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast) and is applicable for a variety of techniques including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). α Tubulin, along with β Tubulin, forms heterodimers that assemble into microtubules, which are crucial for cellular processes such as maintaining cell shape, intracellular transport, and mitotic spindle formation during cell division. Microtubules, as dynamic structures, are vital for a wide array of functions, including cell motility, signaling, and cellular organization. α Tubulin (YOL1/34) monoclonal antibody also targets post-translational modifications such as tyrosination, which regulates microtubule dynamics by influencing their stability and assembly. Anti-α Tubulin antibody (YOL1/34) detection of α Tubulin from various species makes this product a valuable tool for comparative studies on microtubule behavior across species. Additionally, α Tubulin exists in multiple isoforms, each contributing to the functional diversity of microtubules in different cellular contexts. Available in both non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, anti-α Tubulin antibody (YOL1/34) offers flexibility for diverse experimental setups.

Salve a tutti, mi consigliereste un secondario compatibile con questo anticorpo?

Asked by: Sss89
Grazie per la sua domanda. Al momento non offriamo anticorpi secondari o proteine di legame specifici contro gli anticorpi primari di ratto. Per ulteriori informazioni, contattare il nostro servizio tecnico. "What secondary antibody is compatible with this antibody?" Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we currently do not offer any secondary antibodies or binding proteins specific against rat primary antibodies. Please contact our technical service if you require additional information.

Where does the epitope of YOL1/34 antibody bind on the tubulin? Does it bind to the folded or unfolded protein?  Thanks

Asked by: Emmanuel Nsamba
Thank you for your question. This rat monoclonal antibody, α Tubulin (YOL1/34): sc-53030, is raised against full length purified alpha tubulin of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin. The exact epitope recognized by the antibody has not yet been determined. We have data using the antibody for detection of the denatured (Western blot) protein, as well as the native protein (IF and IHC(P)).
