    SEE ALSO...

α-taxilin Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects alpha-taxilin of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-alpha-taxilin antibody (A-6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Alpha-taxilin plays a crucial role in intracellular vesicle trafficking, acting as a novel binding partner of the syntaxin family. Alpha-taxilin′s C-terminal coiled-coil region facilitates interaction with the nascent polypeptide-associated complex (NAC), which is essential for transcriptional coactivation. Notably, alpha-taxilin primarily binds to the α subunit of NAC, and co-expression with overexpressed αNAC disrupts the nuclear distribution of αNAC, which is typically found throughout the cytosol and nucleus. This interaction highlights alpha-taxilin′s importance in regulating the localization and function of NAC, suggesting that the taxilin family, including β- and γ-taxilins, not only influences the translational process through NAC interaction but also plays a significant role in transcriptional regulation via αNAC. Alpha-taxilin′s ability to modulate these processes underscores its potential as a target for research into cellular mechanisms and disease states related to vesicle trafficking and gene expression.
