    SEE ALSO...

α T-catenin Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects alpha T-catenin of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-alpha T-catenin antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Alpha T-catenin, also known as VR22, is a crucial component of the catenin family, which includes α, β, γ, and δ catenins that are widely expressed in various tissues. This 895-amino acid protein is predominantly found in cardiomyocytes and peritubular myoid cells of the testis, where alpha T-catenin plays a vital role in cellular adhesion by forming complexes with E-cadherin at cell junctions. Alpha T-catenin is involved in the regulation of Wnt signaling pathways through interactions with α E-catenin and β-catenin, which are essential for maintaining proper cellular communication and tissue integrity. The gene encoding alpha T-catenin, CTNNA3, is located on chromosome 10, and mutations in CTNNA3 have been linked to late-onset Alzheimer′s disease and dilated cardiomyopathy, highlighting alpha T-catenin′s significance in both neurodegenerative and cardiovascular health.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of the ~100 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). Both the 100K and 57K target isoforms generated by alternative splicing were detected. No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested.
