SEE ALSO...

α Enolase Antibody (9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects alpha Enolase protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-alpha Enolase antibody (9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. alpha Enolase protein, also known as ENO1, plays a crucial role in the glycolytic pathway, facilitating the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate, which is a key step in energy production. This enzymatic function is vital for cellular metabolism, particularly in tissues with high energy demands, such as muscle and brain. Notably, alpha Enolase is expressed in a wide range of tissues, while its isoforms, β enolase and γ enolase, are more restricted, with β primarily found in muscle and γ in nervous tissue. The presence of these isoforms as both homodimers and heterodimers underscores the complexity of metabolic regulation and the importance of alpha Enolase in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis.
