SEE ALSO...

Aldolase A Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Aldolase A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Aldolase A antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Aldolase A, also known as fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase, plays a crucial role in glycolysis by catalyzing the reversible condensation of glycerone phosphate and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate into fructose 1,6-bisphosphate, a key intermediate in energy metabolism. Aldolase A stands out as one of the most highly conserved enzymes, with only about 2% of residues changing over 100 million years, highlighting an essential role in cellular metabolism across species. Aldolase A is predominantly expressed in muscle tissue, where this enzyme is vital for energy production during intense physical activity. The presence of Aldolase A in muscle cells ensures efficient energy conversion, which is critical for muscle contraction and overall physical performance. Understanding the function and regulation of Aldolase A can provide insights into metabolic disorders and muscle-related diseases, making Aldolase A monoclonal antibody (C-10) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these areas.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390733 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
