SEE ALSO...

AKAP 150 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AKAP 150 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AKAP 150 antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AKAP 150 plays a crucial role in the spatial organization of signaling pathways within cells, particularly in cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) signaling. AKAP 150 is primarily localized in the postsynaptic densities of neurons, where AKAP 150 anchors PKA to specific sites, facilitating precise signaling events essential for synaptic plasticity and memory formation. AKAP 150′s ability to compartmentalize PKA is vital for maintaining PKA signaling specificity, ensuring activation only in appropriate cellular contexts. Additionally, AKAP 150 interacts with other proteins, such as MAP2 and AKAP 79, which are also involved in PKA anchoring, highlighting these interactions′ importance in neuronal signaling pathway regulation. Using AKAP 150 monoclonal antibody (E-1) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into synaptic function mechanisms and PKA′s role in neuronal signaling.
