AKAP 13 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AKAP 13 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AKAP 13 antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AKAP 13 protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a scaffold that organizes protein complexes, particularly those involving protein kinase A (PKA) and Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factors (Rho-GEFs). This organization ensures PKA localization to specific cellular compartments for effective substrate phosphorylation. AKAP 13 interactions with various signaling molecules influence critical processes such as TLR2 signaling, NFκB activation, and actin stress fiber formation, impacting cell growth, differentiation, and response to external stimuli. With seven known isoforms, AKAP 13 localizes to different cellular compartments, including cytoplasm, nucleus, and cell membrane, underscoring versatility and importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and signaling fidelity.
