AHI1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AHI1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AHI1 (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AHI1, also known as Abelson helper integration site 1, ORF1, AHI-1, JBTS3, or Jouberin, is a 1196 amino acid signaling protein predominantly expressed in the brain, particularly in neurons that contribute to the crossing axons of the corticospinal tract and superior cerebellar peduncles. AHI1′s structure contains seven WD repeats and an SH3 domain, which are essential for mediating protein-protein interactions and signaling pathways critical for cerebellar and cortical development. Disruptions in AHI1 function due to mutations are linked to Joubert syndrome, an autosomal recessive disorder that presents with hypotonia, ataxia, mental retardation, altered respiratory patterns, abnormal eye movements, and brain malformations. AHI1 is recognized as a novel oncogene, with significant deregulation observed in chronic myeloid leukemia, highlighting AHI1′s importance in both developmental biology and cancer research. Three isoforms of AHI1 arise from alternative splicing, adding complexity to AHI1′s functional roles in cellular processes.
