AHCYL1/SAHH-3 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AHCYL1/SAHH-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AHCYL1/SAHH-3 (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AHCYL1, also known as S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase-like 1, plays a crucial role in amino acid biosynthesis and is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum. This localization allows AHCYL1 to participate in the regulation of cellular metabolism and signaling pathways. AHCYL1 catalyzes the conversion of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine to L-homocysteine and adenosine, a reaction essential for maintaining cellular levels of these metabolites. Additionally, AHCYL1 contains a PDZ-binding domain and a PEST region, enabling interaction with inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor-I (IP3R-I), which is involved in various signaling cascades. This interaction modulates the affinity of IP3R-I for its substrate, thereby influencing intracellular calcium signaling and cellular responses.
