SEE ALSO...

AGS3 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AGS3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AGS3 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AGS3 plays a crucial role in G-protein signaling pathways, acting as an activator of G-protein signaling that functions downstream of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) or at the level of heterotrimeric G-proteins. AGS3 is a Gai-binding protein that displaces Gβγ subunits and associates with Ga-GDP, stabilizing the GDP-bound conformation of Ga, which is essential for the regulation of various cellular processes. AGS3 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and is expressed in several cell types, including rat brain, PC12 cells, NG108-15 cells, and DDT(1)-MF2 smooth muscle cells. AGS3 exists in two forms: a longer 227 amino acid variant with seven tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domains, which are important for targeting proteins to specific subcellular regions, and a shorter 166 amino acid variant that is more prevalent in the adult rat heart. Understanding AGS3 localization and function is vital, as AGS3 contributes to the intricate signaling mechanisms that govern cellular responses in various physiological contexts.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with AGS3 (G-2): sc-271721?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
