AFX1 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects AFX1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AFX1 Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AFX1, also known as FoxO4, plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as apoptosis, cell cycle progression, and oxidative stress response, making AFX1 vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing tumorigenesis. AFX1 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where AFX1 functions as a transcription factor, binding to specific DNA sequences to modulate gene expression. AFX1 nuclear localization is tightly regulated by post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation by the serine/threonine kinase Akt1, which sequesters AFX1 in the cytosol, thereby inhibiting transcriptional activity. Dysregulation of AFX1 has been implicated in various cancers, including acute lymphocytic leukemia and alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, highlighting AFX1′s importance as a potential therapeutic target.
