SEE ALSO...

AFP Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), also known as α-fetoprotein, a vital plasma protein predominantly synthesized in the fetal liver during embryonic development. AFP plays a crucial role in transporting essential molecules such as copper, nickel, and fatty acids, and can interact with serum albumin or estrogen under certain physiological conditions. In normal adult tissues, AFP is present only in trace amounts; however, expression is significantly elevated in hepatocellular carcinomas and serves as a reliable biomarker for monitoring liver cancer progression and tumor growth. Anti-AFP antibody (H-9) is raised against amino acids 171-310 of human AFP and demonstrates broad species reactivity, including mouse, rat, and human AFP, making AFP (H-9) antibody versatile for various applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AFP is primarily localized in the cytoplasm of liver cells, and detection is essential for understanding AFP′s role in cellular processes and involvement in cancer biology. By targeting a specific epitope on AFP, AFP monoclonal antibody (H-9) ensures accurate and consistent detection, which is critical for both research and clinical diagnostics. Additionally, AFP regulation involves key transcription factors like NF-1 and HNF-1, highlighting the importance of precise detection tools like anti-AFP antibody (H-9) in advancing our knowledge of gene expression and cancer mechanisms. Whether utilized in laboratory research or clinical settings, AFP (H-9) monoclonal antibody provides reliable performance for studying AFP′s function, localization, and significance as a biomarker in various diseases.
