AdipoR1 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AdipoR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AdipoR1 (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AdipoR1 plays a crucial role in mediating adiponectin effects, a hormone secreted by adipocytes that enhances glucose and lipid metabolism. AdipoR1, along with AdipoR2, is primarily located in liver and muscle tissues, where AdipoR1 regulates fatty acid oxidation and glucose uptake. These receptors are vital for maintaining metabolic homeostasis, being involved in signaling pathways that influence insulin sensitivity and body composition. AdipoR1 has a high affinity for globular adiponectin and a lower affinity for full-length adiponectin, selectively activating specific signaling cascades, including AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 expression is significantly affected by physical training, which can enhance circulating adiponectin levels and improve insulin resistance, highlighting these receptors′ importance in metabolic health and potential therapeutic implications for obesity and diabetes.
