Adenovirus-2/5 E1A Antibody (M73) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Adenovirus-2/5 E1A protein of Adenovirus-2 and Adenovirus-5 origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Adenovirus-2/5 E1A antibody (M73) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The E1A protein plays a crucial role in the early stages of adenoviral infection, as E1A is essential for the regulation of viral gene expression and the transformation of host cells. Specifically, E1A interacts with the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, a key regulator of the cell cycle, which allows the virus to bypass cellular growth controls and promote cell proliferation. This interaction is vital for the adenovirus to effectively hijack the host′s cellular machinery, leading to enhanced viral replication and pathogenesis. Furthermore, E1A′s ability to modulate the transcription of both viral and cellular genes underscores E1A′s importance in the viral life cycle and potential as a target for therapeutic interventions.

How much protein do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Adenovirus-2/5 E1A (M73): sc-25?
