ADAR3 Antibody (3.591) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects ADAR3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ADAR3 antibody (3.591) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. ADAR3 protein plays a crucial role in RNA editing, specifically in the modification of adenosine residues to inosine within double-stranded RNA structures, which is essential for the regulation of gene expression and the generation of protein diversity. This editing process can lead to changes in the coding potential of mRNA transcripts, ultimately influencing cellular functions and responses. The ADAR family, including ADAR3, is characterized by a central series of double-stranded RNA-binding motifs and a C-terminal catalytic domain, which are critical for enzymatic activity. Understanding ADAR3 function and interactions with other RNA molecules is important for elucidating its role in neurological processes and potential implications in various diseases, including neurological disorders and cancers.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using ADAR3 (3.591): sc-73410?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
