    SEE ALSO...

ADAM5 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM5 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ADAM5 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM5, a member of the disintegrin and metalloproteinase (ADAM) family, plays a crucial role in reproductive biology, particularly in fertilization processes. ADAM5 is primarily expressed on sperm surfaces and remains essential for sperm-egg binding and fusion during successful fertilization. ADAM5 precursor synthesis occurs in the testis, followed by processing during epididymal maturation, highlighting ADAM5′s importance in male fertility. ADAM5 also interacts with other ADAM family members, such as ADAM2 and ADAM3, to facilitate these reproductive processes. Understanding ADAM5′s function and interactions proves vital for elucidating fertilization mechanisms and addressing potential fertility issues.
