ADAM15 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM15 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ADAM15 Antibody (D-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM15, also known as metargidin, is a crucial member of the ADAM family, which consists of over 30 membrane-anchored, glycosylated, zinc-dependent proteases that play significant roles in cell-cell interactions and the cell-matrix interface. ADAM15 is involved in processes such as fertilization, muscle fusion, and the secretion of tumor necrosis factor alpha, as well as modulating the neurogenic functions of Notch and Delta signaling pathways. Structurally, ADAM15 is an 814 amino acid plasma membrane protein characterized by a unique RGD tripeptide sequence that facilitates binding to integrins alphaV/beta3 and alpha5/beta1, which is essential for mediating cell adhesion and signaling. The presence of multiple functional domains, including a metalloprotease domain and a disintegrin domain, underscores ADAM15′s versatility in various biological processes, making ADAM15 a vital target for research in cell biology and therapeutic applications.
