ACTR-II Antibody (149/1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ACTR-II in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). ACTR-II, also known as activin receptor type IIB, plays a crucial role in the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) superfamily signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes including cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. Anti-ACTR-II antibody (149/1) recognizes this receptor primarily on the cell membrane, where ACTR-II forms a heteromeric complex with type I receptors, facilitating the binding of activin ligands. Proper localization of ACTR-II is vital as ACTR-II ensures effective signal transduction, allowing cells to respond appropriately to extracellular cues. Dysregulation of ACTR-II has been implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer and fibrotic diseases, highlighting ACTR-II′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. ACTR-II monoclonal antibody (149/1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of TGF-β signaling and its implications in health and disease.
