Activated C3 Antibody (I3/15) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Activated C3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Activated C3 antibody (I3/15) is available as the non-conjugated form. Activated C3 protein plays a crucial role in the complement system, which is essential for immune defense against pathogens. Upon activation, C3 is cleaved into C3a and C3b, with C3a acting as an anaphylatoxin that promotes inflammation and C3b serving as an opsonin that enhances phagocytosis. Activated C3 (I3/15) antibody helps researchers study C3′s ability to initiate a cascade of immune responses, including recruitment of immune cells to infection sites and enhancement of antibody-mediated pathogen clearance.
