SEE ALSO...

ACSVL4 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACSVL4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACSVL4 (H-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACSVL4 plays a crucial role in fatty acid metabolism as a member of the acyl-coenzyme A synthetase (ACS) family, which is responsible for catalyzing the initial reaction in the activation of fatty acids. Specifically, ACSVL4 is involved in the transport and activation of long-chain and very long-chain fatty acids, which are essential for various cellular processes, including energy production and membrane synthesis. ACSVL4′s unique expression patterns in key organs such as adipose tissue, liver, heart, and kidney highlight its importance in maintaining metabolic homeostasis. Additionally, ACSVL4 interacts with other proteins within the solute carrier family, facilitating the translocation of fatty acids across the plasma membrane, thereby underscoring its critical function in lipid metabolism and cellular energy balance.
