ACSL4 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACSL4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACSL4 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACSL4, a member of the acyl-CoA synthetase family, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of long-chain fatty acids into acyl-CoA derivatives, which are essential for cellular lipid synthesis and energy production through β-oxidation. ACSL4 is predominantly localized in mitochondria, microsomes, and peroxisomes, highlighting ACSL4′s importance in cellular energy homeostasis and lipid biosynthesis. ACSL4 is particularly abundant in steroidogenic tissues, where ACSL4 may influence female fertility and uterine prostaglandin production, underscoring potential implications in reproductive health. Anti-ACSL4 antibody (F-4) serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying metabolic pathways, particularly given ACSL4′s specialized function in utilizing specific fatty acids like arachidonate.
